The Enchanted Tiki Room in San Francisco and at Home

As we've mentioned here before, this year is the 50th anniversary of Disneyland's Enchanted Tiki Room. And to celebrate, the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco’s Presidio is having a party on June 21 that sounds absolutely killer.

What’s the only drawback to the Enchanted Tiki Room? That’s right, the virgin drinks. But they’ll be making grown-up beverages here, courtesy of Smuggler’s Cove maestro Martin Cate. Tiki Oasis organizer Otto Von Stroheim is all set to DJ, and there will be food from Wexler’s and other food trucks. So yeah, it sounds like a fun, tiki-themed bash.

Alas, the more educational component of the evening, a slide show with retro maven Charles Phoenix, is already sold out. But tickets are still available for the party at the Walt Disney Family Museum website, running $8 for members and $12 for non-members.

One detail that especially caught our eye: They’re going to be serving “the Tiki Room’s signature dessert, the Dole Whip.” Remember those frozen pineapple concoctions?
