I done a fair amount of searching but can't find any "after" pictures of a foam roof. I want to see what it looks like from ground level.
We're considering this type of roof but I really don't want to look at my house everyday and have it looked like it just snowed. I'm curious on design ideas to camouflage it, aside from adding a taller flashing.
I have a photo of the front of the house here on the Eichler network snap shot showroom, under mchester. The size is pretty small. If you would like a better photo send me your e-mail address. I would be happy to send your front and back views.
Good luck,
Margaret
Other than looking at the satellite pictures on Google maps, it's pretty tough to see the foam roof on a flat roof Eichler from ground level. I just did a circle around my house and couldn't see the roof except for the occasional flash of white at certain angles while standing on tippy toes. I guess if you had the "peaked" roof Eichler model you'd see it.
What I do know is that the foam roof is a fabulous insulator, keeps us warm in the winters with microscopic heating bills and relatively cool even on the hottest summer days. It's been leak and trouble free for 15 years. Go for it.
