I have one set of original closet doors. The are the shoyi type with 3 panels and grasscloth inserts. They are in pretty bad shape as they have been painted and the grasscloth is ruined. But if anyone is willing to put in a little elbow grease, they can be easily reclaimed.
I can email a picture of what they can look like restored. Our house was completely drywalled, so we redid our doors with 1/4" mahogany paneling since it was a great way of bringing back that element to the house. They look awesome!

PS. We are in Sunnyvale.
If interested, I just posted pictures of some parts of our house in the Snapshot Showroom. It includes a picture of the redone closet doors.

The closet doors look great. Can I ask you who restored them for you? We don't have the original doors anymore, so actually I'm looking for someone to build us some news closet doors to look like the original.
You can email me at [email protected].

If the doors are still available, we would love them--we just ripped out the framing around the doors that the previous owners put in, and are planning on building new closet doors. Having 1 pair down would certainly help!
You may certainly have them. I want to get rid of them ASAP. So let me know. You may contact me at anammendez AT sbcglobal DOT net
