Hi -

I'm having problems picking color scheme for a new kitchen on my
Eichler which is quite preserved to the original condition (original
linoleum floors, almost original kitchen, bathrooms, etc).

The colors for the house are dark brown with white, and rust/orange
hightlights.

Anyone have experience on picking colors for kitchens?

Any advice?

Sunnyvale paints has some samples of original kitchen cabinet colors. The originals would have been basically black, grey or brown zolotone or straight mahoganey. I've found straight grey and black to work when updating original cabinets into this century.

I also have the original cabinets. This past spring I had them repainted with a charcoal gray paint (kelly moore) and left the sliders white except for two of the sliders. I repainted those two orange (same orange as my front door. It looks great and I get a lot of compliments.
