We've come to the point in our project where we need a new front door. Does anyone have any recommendations that won't completely break the bank. We've seen a Jeld-Wen door we liked in the neighborhood (Fairgrove) but it priced out at over $2700! We even like the classic solid style but haven't seen examples of them in local stores or online. The Crestview doors are excellent, but again price into the thousands.
It seems odd that the interior doors are soooo much less expensive than an exterior, but I could be niave in buying my first new front door. Any help or recomendations are appreciated. thanks!
IMHO, the best choice is the original, plain, solid core exterior door. They are available from local lumberyards for less than $200.

Thanks Cabana, that's what we did. Got one on order from Southern Lumber. Was $400 because we got it prehung, as our entryway has moved 5 feet forward in our remodel. Still a steal compared to other doors that just won't go with the house anyway.
Just found this website
http://www.crestviewdoors.com/
which offers doors specifically for mid-century moderns. Some of them look quite nice.

Crestview has VERY nice doors, but they are pricey. $400 for a solid core door is perfect :)
