Large Fixed Windows and Film vs Single Glaze tempered glass

Hi All,
I wanted to ask about owners recentexperices on windows and using film.  Many of the postings about film are from many years ago.  Due to the size of some of our windows, 126" high by 80" wide, and other factors at the cealing dual glaze is not pratically viable.  More difficult, even single glaze has significant distortioon and deflection issues.  We're not in an Eichler, but our home was written about here and we have the same issues with 1960s windows: https://www.eichlernetwork.com/article/forgotten-designers-mcm-gem
