recent experience with installing mini split system?
We live in a Willow Glen Eichler & are considering installing a mini split system.
Installation recommendations? Did anyone do this themselves?
Any info you'd be willing to share would be much appreciated.
we installed two mini splits last year - one in the master bedroom and one in the room we use as our office - we chose those two room because we spend a lot of time in them AND they are both on the same side of the house and made it easy to hide the outdoor units. we went with units from "goodman" which were recommended by our contractor and were a little less expensive than some of the other japanese units - we are in lucas valley and our contractor did the whole thing in a day or so and we are VERY happy with the results. they only needed to cut a three inch hole - the inside units are much better looking than traditional in wall units and they work very well. they cool the rooms down in minutes and have provided some good places to camp out on those few boiling hot days we have every year. definitely worth the investment -
