Today's S.F. Chronicle Home section (August 26th) has 3 articles on Eichler homes and history. They're well balanced and accurate. One mentions the recent controversy over the silly piece the newspaper published recently that produced such a strongly negative response. No doubt that spurred the Home section editor to find a writer who could do better, and they have.

Tom Borsellino and Monica Kafka's home is featured, and it looks terrific. The main article profiles the beautifully remodeled Palo Alto Eichler of Tim and Gaynor Brown. Nice work!

My own remodeling project is nearing completion, and we are moving back into our house next Wednesday. At that point just some minor electrical work will remain. Total project time: 13 weeks to move and build a completely new kitchen, all new flooring throughout the house, all new master bathroom, new electrical panel and wiring, all new windows and sliders, all new wall surfaces, and more. I'll have new photos posted on my website next week.
