Sliding window lock?

Does anyone know if there is a replacement lock available for the sliding windows? The lift tab sheared off the spring-bolt on one of my locks so it's now unusable.

Metal bar stock cut to proper length. Aluminum works just fine.

Even the new, double paned windows has a length of aluminum (about 1/8"x1"x whatever is needed) bar stock in the channel.

Huh? You mean just put a stick in the track to keep the window from sliding? I already know that trick. I'm looking for a way to repair my lock.

If it's the OEM window, not worth fixing, IMHO.

After talking to several cops and neighbors who had their house broken into during a string in a short period, I know HOW2 easily, but won't post that HOW2 here.

That tab/lock on a original Eichler window isn't much and the bar is better according to the local cops.
