Spray foam roofing in SF Bay Area...
Just learning about spray foam roofing and was under the impression that it was supposed to be comparable in cost to flat roof membrane roofing. So far, from quotes I've received, it doesn't appear to be the case. Can anyone share with me their costs for SFR? Thanks!

Jeff - Pricing on Eichler roofs will not compare to your Spanish style set-up as Eichler roofs are typically 3x larger and do not share your tile edge cap detail at the roof perimeter. That said, you can expect a wide gap in price range as you gather bids from different contractors offering different scopes of work. Compare whether insulation board was included with the membrane systems. In my experience, Dura-Foam prices are typically within range of prices by reputable contractors offering membrane systems over rigid foam board insulation. The results are a different story as Dura-Foam systems features thick, seamless, fully bonded, insulation and redundant waterproofing layers which are the recipe for our long lasting roofs.
