Structural Engineer recommendations in San Jose

New Eichler owner!!! wohooo !! a 4br atrium model, 2car garage, horizontal roof.

The house is in great shape but needs lots of tlc. We are going to add wall insulation and will pull out the panels and would like maybe to remove the wall between living and kitchen/den.

So here is yet another thread requesting recommendations for a structural engineer..

noob question... why do people do not post the recommendations in the thread and prefer email?

I've been reading the forum for the past two hours and there was a lot of really really great information. I was looking especially for experiences regarding shear walls and load-bearing walls.
