Why do several Eichler tracts have a Fordham Street?

There are at least two Eichler tracts (Sacramento and Thousand Oaks) that contain a Fordham Street.

Does anyone know what the connection is?

An "In Joke" on Joe Eichler's part. Mel Fordham was Eichler's biggest competitor, until his firm went belly up in the early 50's, with his failed attempt at rubberized-fiberglass homes. You can still find some in Pinole and Milpitas.

** snicker! ** I couldn't help messing with your head about Mel Fordham and his rubberized-fiberglass homes. (Pls see previous comment). And it isn't even April First! Actually, I don't have a clue why there are so many Fordham streets.
