I live just down the street from the X-100 house in the San Mateo Highlands. I can confirm that it is currently for rent. It's a FABULOUS house and if it had been for sale in 2000, the year I bought my Eichler, I would have bought it in a minute! I got to know the former owner before she passed away, and it was a treat to visit her and see the house essentially almost unchanged from when it was new (allowing for nearly 50 years of use, of course!).
