“There is some drywall, so we painted [and] refreshed that,” he said of walls in two bedrooms and one bathroom, adding, “The rest of it is wood, all wood.”

That said, Shaw figures the property’s clean modernist design and aforementioned assets should drive the price considerably above the ask.

“Number one, Tahos Road is just a really nice street, especially in that flat area,” he stated of the home’s .43-acre lot. Furthermore, he said, MCM design makes it an increasingly historic home as years go by.

Along with a couple of Eichlers, a Walnut Creek adobe, and a 19th century Victorian in Antioch, Shaw said the house is one of the most historic he has ever represented. Furthermore, he said, Nancy Young of Enhance Your Home CA did an excellent job of staging the property.

“She really took her time and was excited with this house,” he said appreciatively.

All these factors contribute to Shaw’s confidence in anticipating offers for the house, which are scheduled for consideration this weekend.

Noting that the house was valued by Redfin.com at over $2 million, he said happily, “I wouldn’t be surprised if it went between $2 and $2.2 [million].”
