"It's actually in pretty great condition," said Walsh, adding of a recent inspection, "Our pest report [estimate] came in at $20,000, which for a property like this is pretty small."

Then there's the novelty of owning a rare home by a gifted but little-known designer. New Jersey-born and John Hopkins schooled, Liebermann supervised construction of what is probably Wright's most visited work in California, the Marin County Civic Center (1962), and was very dedicated to the master's concept of organic architecture becoming a natural part of a place.

"He saw what houses should be, and their relationship to the land and how people should live in them," said his daughter, architect and professor Wanda Liebermann, in a 2015 obituary in the Point Reyes Light when her father died at 84. Walsh was also surprised and delighted at one open house when Liebermann's son paid a call.

As to whether the house should be considered historical, Walsh said, "It doesn't have historical designation, but it's definitely a very unique architectural design. In my opinion it's historic."

"The market has changed," the realtor said pointedly of the decline in price for the property, which he said was a steal. "The architecture asks that alone. Our price per square foot is very competitive."

With a patient tone, he concluded, "The market's been a little bit slow, so we're just going to take it as it goes."
