Another uncommon characteristic of vendors in this directory is their admiration for Eichler owners as a community, which is a welcome blessing for anyone who has every dealt with a disdainful specialist.

"We care about getting Eichler owners their heat," Mike LaChance of LaChance's Radiant Heating says simply.

"People that have Eichlers love their homes and are among the nicest group of homeowners," declares Randy Feriante of Dura-Foam Roofing & Solar Center. "I love working with them!"

"I also really like these communities of Eichlers," agrees Paul Gerrard of Big Blue Hydronics, based in the East Bay. Upon entering an Eichler tract, he said, "It's like going back in time to a different era full of promise for the future."

Of course, one reason these vendors are so fond of Eichlers is that several are owners themselves, like realtors Glenn Sennett and Thomas Westfall. As the directory states of the latter, "Westfall stays knowledgeable about multiple Eichler communities and has a great sense of not only what's important to preserve versus change, but also what the cost and effort would be to maximize return on investment."
