"One house did a grand remodel in a very tasteful way, where they really tried to keep that original look of the house, and another still has the original countertops in the bathroom. We're really happy to have those."
Tourgoers will be able to see a variety of different floor plans, study beautifully landscaped gardens, and experience the best of 'indoor-outdoor' living—so there will be something of interest for everyone. Tourgoers will also have shuttle access throughout the tour.
Another highlight for ticket-holders will be a goody bag containing a detailed, "coffee table-worthy" booklet designed by Eichler owner Tiffany Chin, with photography by Dennis Mayer. A map to the homes, and a listing of the tour's sponsors and several other surprises will also be included.

"Often, we have people who will say, 'We want a kitchen that looks like the one we saw on the tour,' so all the design information will be right there. Plus, one of our sponsors is Atomic Ranch, so tourgoers will also receive a free copy of their magazine."
Custom t-shirts and posters will also be on hand for purchase. "Our poster this year is really cool," says Palmer," with eight different color options on different-colored paper, so people could potentially buy all eight and have a whole tableau, like Andy Warhol. Or just buy the color they like best."

Tickets for the tour are now on sale on the 'Eichler Home Tour' website. "We're going to sell a thousand tickets for each day [of the tour]," says Palmer. "Last time we sold out, and we hope to sell out again."
"It'll be a super fun tour," he adds, "and a chance to talk to people who are interested in the same things that you are."
