"Several of the companies you see profiled in the Directory have been in the Network for 20 years. These are companies whose dedication to the Eichler homeowner has been unwavering," says Arbunich. "As a result, the response they get from homeowners has been consistently strong—strong enough that the Eichler owners have, over time, become the bulk of their business. It's a win-win all the way around."

"While more and more of our companies are dedicated to being involved for the long term, any companies along the way, however, that may slip beneath our expected level of customer service and care—and it's a rarity when this happens—are not invited back, so to speak."

"We were doing Eichler houses back in the '70s," says Ralph Wedge, owner of Wedge Roofing in the North Bay, a newcomer to the Network team and one of the five solid roofing companies featured in the Directory. "We know and understand that we have to maintain the look of the Eichler."

"One of our strengths as a company is marketing Eichlers," says Ken Fox with East Bay Modern, one of eight real estate firms profiled in the annual publication. "I like that track: younger people, having their first kid, moving into their first Eichler."

"We like the idea of presenting the positive, human side of our 'preferred service companies' in our Directory profiles and photos," explains Arbunich. "These folks are human like the homeowners they serve and the rest of us, with one big difference: They each have an expertise that can positively affect our homeowners' lives—and they're proud of that."

The printed edition of the 2016 Eichler Network 'Home Maintenance Directory' is also being mailed free to hundreds of select Bay Area modern homes built by Alliance (in Marin County), and Gavello and Mackay (in the South Bay).

Additional copies of the print edition are available for $5 each. And, of course, the flip-book edition is free.
