I believe my home was built by Paul Kirk and the style is very similar to Eichler homes. What do you know about the influences of Eichler in the Northwest buildings? Is there a Seattle version of the Eichler network?
Paul Hayden Kirk was an accomplished Modernist in his own right. Hundreds of great homes and commercial buildings in the Seattle area.
He also was a classmate of A. Quincy Jones, one of Eichler's architects at UW.
On this site, you find a couple stories on Bob Rummer, which copied Eichler, litterally, and built several hundred homes in the Portland area. Jones & Emmons also have several buildings in Portland and Seattle.
Eichler was a builder, not a designer.
This board and Lotta Living http://www.lottaliving.com are the best for talking about mid-century modern homes in Seattle.
Also, for just looking at photos, http://www.seattlemodern.com is fun to check out too
