Hi,
I'm looking Eichler Skylight (Size: 18 3/4" x 18 3/4"). Can anyone suggest a source in or around Sunnyvale where I can buy the same.
You may email me directly at [email protected]
Photo of the existing skylight can be viewed at the following URL

Thanks
do you know for sure that this is a custom skylight size? we had our roof replced a few years back and had skylights replaced as part of the work. turned out they were a standard size. -L
That is a geat picture of an original Eichler skylight.
It is widely claimed that Malathion caused the cracking. Newer plastics last much longer. This skylight is single-dome, uninsulated with a poor weep system and is famous for dripping in humid conditions. We have insisted on replacing them for 25 of our 26 years of roofing Eichlers. Our first winter, the skylights drove us crazy with many reports of dripping. Since we had insulated the roof, and the wood was no longer cool, the only place for water to condense was on the metal frame or the plastic dome. This does not happen with double-dome skylights.
Your have measured the skylight correctly, from the inside of the wood box. Any skylight manufacturer can make one for you.
Couldn't find, nor did I look that hard for an OEM Eichler skylight
for my hall way after finding that it was a single pane (not insulated)
and that the industry standard was much less than any custom size.
Built up my old skylight frame and have drawn a quick sketch of
the cross section.
Works well and the new humidity drip system far more efficient than
the Eichler spec'd lights.
Make sure to paint the whole thing with exterior primer and finish
that has fungiside (sp?) and/or have it added.
Here's the sketch.
