Folks seem to wonder about the new replacement aluminum windows. I pulled out the camera today and took some pictures...

Nice Windows! Hopefully you installed them with proper flashing/water shield around the edges to prevent possible future deterioration of the redwood trim/framing. Otherwise, looks good!

thanks. they were installed exactly like the originals save the generous use of a siliconized exterior caulk where surfaces meet. i figure since the originals lasted 40 years (with no leaking/deterioration... and oddly, no caulk), these should, too... plus, all of our windows are under large eaves and see little actual moisture which is good. we'll see... but of the things i worry about with this house, these are now at the bottom of the list. feel free to contact me offline with more specific questions, though: red (at) redneckmodern (dot) com...

Funny you painted your house in Behr Squirrel! I painted my house 2 years ago that color and my previous house that color!
