Electrical Service Panel Upgrade

I've been looking into upgrading the electrical panel on my 1961 Claude Oakland Sunnyvale Eichler to a modern 200 amp service panel. First quote just came in at $2300, which is a little more than twice what I was expecting. Does anyone have any guidance on how much they paid for a service panel upgrade?
