This is my first posting. Been reading many of the previous ones. Admire Cindy's tenaciousness (removal of tiles and glue). My husband and I decided to change our floor from carpet (previous owner) to maybe stone tiles. We took the old tiles under the carpet to a laboratory for asbestos analysis, and they turned out positive (2-22% chrysotile) as we predicted. Don't know whether to remove or repair. We probably won't be able to do the work ourselves, unless there are no companies available to do the job in the Bay Area and the cost is beyond our reach.
We would like to check if anyone can recommend an asbestos consultant and removal company to do the work and what were their experiences.
Thanks.
