Looking for Electrical contractor recommendation

I have finally decided on my needs for the primary changes to the electrical service in my Eichler and the big item will be a service entrance upgrade.  One of the issues with this house is that it has underground utilities and while I like this, this means that the service entrance upgrade will require trenching as well as some cutting up and repairing of the sidewalk (at my cost).  Given this, I want to make sure the electrical contractor has done this before or that they can do this without having me suffer through their learning curve.  
I have talked to Smith Electric in the past and I like Sean Smith and will certainly ask him to bid this job but as a matter of due diligence, I will ask for a bid from a couple of others as well.
