Soriano event in Palo Alto at Design Within Reach studio.

Please join us at DWR Palo Alto on Thursday Nov 13th, 6-8 pm for an informative slide show and discussion of the complete works of Raphael Soriano. Though in the end he only built one Eichler, known as the Saunders house it was the first all steel house.

We have many events at Design Within Reach, and we love having enthusiastic Eichler fans at our events. You are always such a good passionate audience ! the Soriano Eichler was an excellent example of prefabrication home building. Original plans called for a subdivision of these steel and glass prefabs. But Eichler changed his mind.

If this subdivision would have been built, it would have made a huge impact on residential architecture.
