hi there
does anyone know where i can find replacement burners for an ancient stove top from thermador? The stove must be about 50 years old. The only information on the little panel is a 'catalog #' (SU4-G) and a serial number 137280. There is no 'model number' as we know it. The burner is a 6in burner 120-240AC 8.5KW is has 3 hot wires and 1 ground. Thermador themselves do not carry anything from that era anymore!
Please help!
Thanks

Hi,

Is this the model I'm thinking of--4 burners with a griddle in the center? And the top is hinged to lift for easy cleaning?

If so, a year ago you could still get some parts through Marcone. I had ordered a couple of things (long story) but no longer have the appliance. I could look to see if I can find the invoice...

Ok, so I don't know if the model I had is the same as yours. But... last year Marcone carried almost every part on the stovetop I had and still carries some. Here are the particulars:

Their model reference: TMH45-1
Large burner part # 486168 ($69 plus tax each)
Small burner part # 486146 ($125.30 plus tax each)

Marcone (Fresno order and distribution center) 1 559 264 0361, ask for the "order counter".

When you call, ask what their return policy is in case it's not the right model. You will also need someone to wire it in for you. I'd recommend contacting Thermador and asking for the authorized service center for your area. (Unless things have changed, it's likely Appliance Experts in San Jose).

Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

hi!
yes it is that type of model
griddle has a pan underneath with a deep indentation on the one side for dripping fat.
the stove top was there when my parents bought the house in the 90's but it's ancient and has a wall oven from back then also.
if you could find anything from that company (full name with address or tel phone or email) that wud be great!

Thanks a million!

Hi there Jake!

Just placed a call into Marcone. Thanks so very much for that number!
Turns out they have a place here in Westchester in NY not far from me and I can take the whole kit and kaboodle down to them and get what I need without fearing it;s the wrong piece and having to mail it back and maybe not get my $$$ back.

Appreciate the help!

Sonya
