Emerick recently received a call from artist Josh Agle, aka Shag, inviting him to participate in the Shag House project in Palm Springs that will debut at Modernism Week 2023.

Currently, Jonny is working on a custom handrail project at the first Richard Neutra home built in the Neutra Colony in Silver Lake.

Jonny became excited about the Neutra project while viewing a vintage Julius Shulman photograph showing Shulman's 1936 Chevy coupe parked outside that home. Jonny, whose second vintage vehicle is a Chevy of the same '36 vintage and model, looks forward to documenting his coupe parked in that very same spot.

You'll find all kinds of wrought-iron design and fabrication projects underway at Emericks' studio in La Habra. Everything is custom designed and fabricated, and metals are sourced from local businesses. “We design everything from fences, gates, dividers, to stairways, handrails, custom furniture, and sculptures,” Jonny says.

“I don't take on every job people call about,” Jonny admits. “I like to talk to them [prospective clients] a little bit [on the phone], figure out the direction they'd like to go. Then, if it works within their budget, I come out and do everything in person.”

“We take pride in our craftsmanship and our professionalism,” adds Jonny, “and are here to bring you a product you deserve.”
