Grab a snazzy hat and sunglasses, and get ready to head to California's hotbed of desert modern architecture—Palm Springs.

Modernist dreams have a way of coming true in Palm Springs, and yours can too, as Modernism Week's Fall Festival 2025 is about to celebrate their 20th anniversary by staging some dreamy, nostalgia-filled events.

Bringing together mid-century art, architecture, and culture, the upcoming fall edition of Modernism Week takes place October 16 through 19. It will feature everything from mid-century mixology classes to twilight tours showcasing architectural, interior, and landscape design.

Though there are plenty of events to capture an MCM enthusiast's interest, we've highlighted a half dozen with celebrity tie-ins to add a bit of glitz and glamour to the mix.

Shag Store: Event #1 ('Aluminaire Affair' signing and cocktails)

MW EVENT #1: SHAG

Join the party on October 18 (6-9pm) as artist Shag unveils his newest serigraph print, 'The Aluminaire Affair,' at the Shag store in the Uptown Design District. Complimentary cocktails will be served inside the store, accompanied by live music by the Martini Kings. Josh Agle (aka Shag) will be on hand all evening to autograph prints and sign merchandise.

To understand what 'The Aluminaire Affair' is all about, you'll want to head over to the historic Aluminaire House, designed by A. Lawrence Kocher and Albert Frey in 1931, on display outside of the Palm Springs Art Museum.

Sinatra House: Event #2 (Rat Pack Homes)

MW EVENT #2: SINATRA

Hop on board for a bus tour of 'Sinatra's Rat Pack Homes and Hangouts.' During the 1950s and '60s, the famed 'Rat Pack'—Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., with regular guests Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop—entertained at Las Vegas casinos and Hollywood night clubs, but Palm Springs was where they went to party and play.

This 90-minute tour will also point out other celebrity homes and hangouts associated with Elvis Presley, Liberace, Desi Arnaz, Dinah Shore, and Jack Benny.

Discover the 'Hidden Paradise of Showbiz Legends' on this walking tour that covers Contemporary Modern to Spanish Colonial Revival architecture.

Home to Hollywood's elite, these hillside hideaways belonged to celebrities Sonny and Cher, Natalie Wood and Robert Wagner, Suzanne Somers, and famed lyricist and songwriter Johnny Mercer.
