concrete flors

I am considering tearing out the carpets in the bedrooms and living room and resurfacing, staining and polishing the concrete. Anyone know a ggod comppany that can do this in Marin area. Has anyone done this? I know it will be tough to walk on but I thought ok with some area rugs- I really want the carpets gone due to problem with radiant heat and fact carpets with children are always dirty.
