Experience with Panasonic ceiling fans

Has anyone installed a panasonic ceiling fan into a typical flat roof Eichler?  The distance from the interior ceiling and top of roof is exactly 5 inches.  I found these instructions and with them, my contractor feels confident enough to build it. Now, I'm trying to find out which fan to choose. Does anyone have experience with any of these?  I might just go with the 7 1/2" high fan, since I'm told to go at least 6 inches above the roof anyway.
