I am going to be installing some African Mahogany wood paneling I found and was wondering what kind of adhesive people have had the best luck with? Does anybody have any suggestions for the instalation? I am installing it over sheetrock if this helps.

TIA

I'll say right off that I have not done this kind of work. However, in my ignorance I'm not afraid to offer some thoughts ;-)

I would suggest you identify studs and chose nails that allow you to nail through the panelling and sheetrock into the studs. I say this because it preserves your flexibility (and those of owners after you) if you decide you want to remove or modify any panelling. The constructions glue is rather permanent and will likely destory the wall were you ever to remove the panelling.

Just my thoughts. Maybe someone else with more experience will comment on the pros and cons of either method.

Cheers.

I appreciate the tip, but I am gluing it down. I hung sheetrock inbetween the framing and so the paneling being glued to the sheetrock should hold well, and the sheetrock should aid in insulating the walls as well. I will post some pictures when I finish with 2 walls.
