LOCAL COMPANY SEEKS EICHLER HOME

Greetings Eichler Network,

Orange Universe Films, a small production house in San Francisco is currently seeking an EICHLER home for EXTREME PIZZA a small local vendor for two regional commercials.

The style/location of the home we are searching for:

1. San Francisco/Bay Area, Concord location
2. Atrium Interior (ideal) or large open space for living and dining areas.
3. Interior stair case leading to loft or second floor
4. Nicely furnished/styled (no distinct era)
5. Landscape yard
6. Please send photos with response

Compensation:

1. $200.00/day (This will be a two day shoot)
2. Televised commercial
3. Credit and Copy of commercial

Shooting Schedule:

Saturday-April 29, 2006 (all day)
Sunday-April 30, 2006 (all day)

Just so you are aware, to my knowledge Eichler did not build any 2-story atrium models (in fact he built very few 2-story models, period). You may find an Eichler single story atrium model that has had a 2nd story added to it, but almost without exception such a change does not improve the house, and often ruins it aesthetically.

Actually, there do exist 2 story atrium Eichlers. The ones I know are on and around Torreya Court in Palo Alto. These models even have motorized retractable skylights over the atriums, many of which still work. This cluster is probably among the last Eichler developments, dating from the early 1970s.

I wonder if the commercial was ever filmed?

I hope you got more than $200 a day. I'd expect it to be much higher.
Were the shots all outside? That would explain the price, although $200 is very low.
