MCM Neighborhood in NE Sacramento
Does anybody know who designed and/or built the MCM homes in NE Sacramento off of Edison between Watt and Eastern by Mira Loma HS. My new place is on the corner of Edsion and Brownson but most of the homes (a couple dozen) are on Brownson and Sunnyvale. The development was plotted in 1953 but most of the homes were built later, mine was in '59.
The development was called Arcadia Gardens according to the Assessors Map.
I just found out from a neighbor that my home is a Strizek. Does anybody have any information about the homes they were building in Sacramento in the late 50's?
This thread is probably long dead, but the builder might be R.P. Watt, we have a Watt home on Landwood, it's post and gable with roof line windows but is not on a slab like Streng's. Ours was built in 1954
