Fluorescent light shade needed for master bath vainity

House is in Terra Linda built in about 1955. Dimensions for shade are est. 39" horizonatal by 2 7/8" - 3"vertical. Our shade disintegrated so if anyone is changing light fixtures we would like to get yours as we've been told they are no longer available for sale.

Other idea is to replace the whole fixture. Suggestions for that are welcome from anyone who has done that. Where do we start? Thanks.
