garage door for eichler-like house

I'm the lady with the Canadian eichler look alike. It does have differences though - particularly no eichler siding, and the garage does not have the beam going through the middle of it.

I posted a beautiful clopay aluminum and frosted glass door for everyone to admire some time ago. I thought I would be purchasing this door - but I found out that in Canada it is, gulp, $7800 !!!!!.

So I'm looking for an alternative. Can anyone recommend a flush panel roll up door that suits a contemporary house? All I can think of is a custom plywood door that I can paint, but everyone says this is a bad idea due to rot and warping, etc. Clopay and Garaga make steel doors with flush panels, but I haven't seen one in person - has anyone seen these?

Any ideas?

The roof slopes over the garage door and I'm hoping to get a window placed over the door (big triangle shape) , so that the roof appears to float like your beautiful eichlers!
