Has anyone noticed moisture wicking through your slab in the wet season? I've had the heating system tested and it is OK. I suspect that heated moisture under the slab crates positive vapor pressure within the cap created by rain, heat and the foundation capped by the slab. I only notice it under lineolium. In areas where carpet covers the floor the moistue evaporates through the carpet so I see no problem. I am thinking of replacing the lineolium with ceramic tile or stone. If I do this, do I need to seal the slab first? If so, How?
Thanks for your advice.
