Pantry shelving options? Can anyone offer suggestions?

I just discovered some old Coke cans decided to have a slow leak in the pantry, where I couldn't see them stacked up in the back. The original pantry shelves are wood and painted over. The spilled Coked was in there a while and caused a small amount of mold on the wall. I am cutting out the sheetrock in the affected area to be sure I got it all.

I decided it might be time now to look at replacing the shelving system in there. what are people doing these days? I thought about a Metro wire shelf system some years ago, I'd line the 3 walls as they are now.

I'm handy with carpentry, so I could rebuild them in Mahogany. Just slightly nicer then what's there. But I like the idea of non-porous materials, to avoid future mold problems. It's the first time this house ever had mold I think.

Any insights, pictures or URL's appreciated! Thank you.
