Radian heat pipe drawing

Hi,

I have some rooms that are really cold and some other that are really warm.

By touching the pipes, I am not able to tell which one are fully on and which one are fully off.

Does anyone know what pipes connect to what room?

I am living in an Atrium model, 4 bedroom + bonus room in Sunnyvale.

Thanks

The boiler output goes to a manifold, usually under a wood cover in a closet. This splits into many pipes, each with an in-line valve. When the slot in the screw head is parallel with the pipe, it is fully on. When the slot is sideways, it is fully off. It may take you some experimentation to figure out which pipe goes where, and how to best adjust the valves. If you don't feel comfortable adjusting the valves, have one of the pros do it. When it is cold, it is easy to feel a change in the floor temperature after opening a mostly closed valve.

Remember to leave enough valves fairly open, since you want to encourage flow thru the boiler for better efficiency.

One of my valves started leaking slightly after adjustment. Luckily this stopped in 24 hours...before I had time to truly develope an ulcer.
