vintage electric thermador double-oven

Hi everyone,

I have come into possession of a self-cleaning electric Thermador double
oven that I cannot use. *It requires venting to the outdoors.*, most
commonly through the roof or an outside wall. Unfortunately, my oven is
located in an island and an exhaust pipe running up to the roof would
not be ideal.

I don't know the age of this model but the gentleman from whom I got it
said when he bought his Eichler 20 years ago, this oven was already in
it. (It looks to me like it could be early 70's but I'm no expert.) He
says the oven works fine and that he used it until its removal last year.

I have already gotten photocopies of the installation sheet and the
"care and use" booklet from Thermador.

If interested, let me know as the neighbors on my cul-de-sac don't
approve of it as a lawn ornament . Email me for measurements and possibly pictures.

Cheers.

P.S. I forgot to mention that if you have a single oven cabinet with the 3 lower drawers, you can probably fit the double oven. That's what I did with the double oven I previously installed.

As much as I hate to do it, this updated Thermador oven is headed for the dump next weekend (Nov 5/6) if unclaimed.

It's a great find for any number of people:
- those whose current vintage stove is not working
- those without original ovens who are tempted to go back to original but just aren't sure they want to invest the time locating one
- those with working original ovens but who would like to upgrade.

This oven is self-cleaning with a timed oven (set on time and off time) and timed outlets. It requires venting to the outdoors--easiest for someone whose oven is already on an outside door. I have already gotten photocopies of the "care and use" manual and the installation manual from Thermador. I can give you the name of the Thermador authorized service people in the South Bay who can install it (they did my last two ovens for about $100 a piece).

If you are at all inclined, please let me know this week--I'll even deliver if there's someone to help me unload at your end. Drop me a line.

BTW, I expect to be able to offer an original stovetop in the next couple of weeks (roughly 45" x 17" d) as well. I have found an upgraded original I plan to install so my current stovetop will be available . Let me know if you're interested.
