Hello all,
I am a geography student (and midcentury lover), I am writing a paper on post war historic preservation in Sacramento. Would any of you be aware of any initiatives to have the south land park Eichler development or any of the Streng (Wilhaggin, Sheffield Oaks) listed on the national and State register for historic resources? Any information or contacts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much,
Steven
Hey Steven,
I live in one of the SLP Eichlers and as far as I know, there isn't a movement to preserve the neighborhood. You may want to contact the SLP Neighborhood Association. I know at least one of the board members lives in an Eichler.
Jon
Thanks Jon,
I sent an email over to them at the SLPNA website. Do you know if there are any other Eichler's in South Land Park, that are not on South Land Park Drive?

Steven,
There are Eichlers on Fordham, Oakridge and Holstein Streets...they run parallel with SLP Dr. There is an Eichler Street, but no Eichlers. There are also many custom MCM homes in the are the resemble Eichlers and Strengs.
