Globe light question

Now that some brilliant person has located a source for stemmed globe lights, my husband wants to know the dimension of the originals. Can some one who still has them measure one for me, please? Thanks.

I think there are numerous other posts on the topic of globe lights...so you may want to do a search.
I think the size/shape/color of the globe light downrods and ceiling mounts varied from tract to tract. But maybe there was a 'standard' size for the diameter of the globes themselves...
