Thermador clock making noise

The clock on my 1954 vintage Thermador oven (WO-16?) is making noise. Does anyone work on these? It sounds like it needs some lubrication, but I don't know if that's a good idea to DIY. Any suggestions appreciated.

FWIW I was able to fix it myself. I found a great site called www.telechronclock.com and was able to buy a replacement motor. It was relatively easy to replace the motor thanks to Dave's great instructions. Back in business for another 50 years!
