Several of the redwood corner protectors of our house need replacing. Since 90 degree redwood lumber goes for several dollars a foot, this is not an option. Even aluminum corners are about $15 for six feet sections. Any suggestions as to how to replace exterior corners?
Dollars a foot? I don't recall it being very expensive to get a 2x2 ripped into a "L" to make a corner piece.
You can buy a piece of 2by 4 and use a table saw to your own corner piece. I did that and it came out very nice.
Just bought some from Sunnyvale Lumber : $3.83 per foot. It's thinner than the original and 1 1/5" in width.
Hope that helps :)
