Our Eichler faces West and gets a lot of afternoon and evening sun. We are considering installing retractable awning, but have a hard time finding a sleak and modern version. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Eichler 'overhangs' are the best. They shade the windows and also keep windows and walls from leaking during heavy rains. Few Eichler walls are without overhangs. The overhang-less walls of an Eichler really take a beating from the sun.
I purchased a Sunsetter retractable awning over 9 years ago. I did not find many choices available. It has worked very well. I did find that water puddled near the lowest edge. I cut a small 3/4" 'V' in the middle of the puddle and solved the problem. They sell metal braces that arch the awning, but did not adjust short enough for me. It's nice to have a variable choice re. how much shade you have outside a set of windows.
